Keep metrics and aggregations consistent with what the frontend and reports expect. - **Generative**: `src/generative/` – report generation, summaries, or LLM-backed insights. Use project LLM/embedding config; do not hardcode model names or keys. - **API**: Report and insight endpoints should return structured JSON (e.g. time range, series, summary text) suitable for charts and UI. Document response shape in OpenAPI/schemas. ## Frontend (Next.js / React) - **Charts**: Use the project’s chart library (e.g. Recharts); keep axes and tooltips consistent with backend series (e.g. timestamp, value, symbol). - **Dashboard**: Prefer server components or stable data fetching; use real-time hooks (e.g. `useRealtimeData`, WebSocket) only where live updates are required. - **Insights**: Display insight text or summaries from the API; avoid duplicating heavy logic in the frontend. Use loading and error states for async report fetches. ## Conventions - **Idempotency**: Report generation should be repeatable for the same inputs (symbol, date range, strategy) so caching and refresh behave correctly. - **Performance**: For large ranges or many symbols, support pagination or sampling; avoid unbounded queries in report endpoints. - **Security**: Do not expose raw internal errors or secrets in report payloads; sanitize or log details server-side only. When adding a **new report or insight type**, use the skill “Add a new report or insight” (if available) so API, backend logic, and frontend stay aligned.
