# Build / debug command

- When you need to build/run the project (TypeScript/Vite build, compile checks, etc.), **prefer `npm run debug`** for this repository.
- If you are building as part of adjusting unit tests, you should instead use **`npm run debug:test`**
- The user will then need to reload Foundry to show the updated module
- Only use other scripts (`npm run build`, `npm test`, etc.) if the user explicitly asks.


# Foundry VTT Source Reference

The `app` workspace folder contains the Foundry VTT client source code.
Treat it as READ-ONLY reference material. Never suggest modifications to files in that folder.

Use it to:
- Look up accurate API signatures, method names, and return types
- Understand class hierarchies (e.g., Actor, Item, Application subclasses)
- Verify hook names and their callback signatures
- Check correct property paths on core data models

Do not use it to:
- Influence code style, structure, or formatting choices in the main codebase
- Override the project's established patterns and conventions
