## Project Overview
This is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that synthesizes code from multiple repositories.
It integrates with Windsurf IDE to provide intelligent project generation capabilities.

## Architecture
- **src/mcp/** - MCP server and tool definitions
- **src/discovery/** - Platform API clients (GitHub, HuggingFace, etc.)
- **src/analysis/** - Code analysis with Tree-sitter
- **src/resolution/** - Dependency resolution with uv
- **src/synthesis/** - Code merging and transformation
- **src/generation/** - Documentation generation
- **src/llm/** - LLM orchestration with Ollama

## Key Technologies
- Python 3.11+
- FastMCP for MCP server
- ghapi for GitHub API
- Tree-sitter for AST parsing
- uv for dependency resolution
- Ollama for local LLM (Qwen2.5-Coder)

## Coding Standards
- Use type hints on all functions
- Follow Google docstring style
- Maximum line length: 88 characters
- Use async/await for I/O operations
- Handle errors with custom exceptions in src/core/exceptions.py

## Testing
- Run tests with: `pytest tests/ -v`
- Minimum 80% coverage target
- Use fixtures from tests/conftest.py

## Environment Variables
Required in .env:
- GITHUB_TOKEN - GitHub API access
- OLLAMA_HOST - Ollama server URL (default: http://localhost:11434)

Optional:
- HUGGINGFACE_TOKEN - HuggingFace access
- OPENAI_API_KEY - Cloud fallback
- ANTHROPIC_API_KEY - Cloud fallback

## When Making Changes
1. Check existing patterns in similar files
2. Add tests for new functionality
3. Update docstrings and type hints
4. Run linting before committing
5. Update CHANGELOG.md for significant changes
