# Project Development Guidelines
**Core Tools:**
* **Build/Dev Server:** [Vite](https://vitejs.dev/)
* **Testing:** [Vitest](https://vitest.dev/)
* **Package Manager:** [pnpm](https://pnpm.io/)
**Key Principles:**
1. **Minimal Dependencies:**
* Only add a new dependency if it provides a **significant (10x) improvement** over existing solutions or standard library features.
* Evaluate alternatives and the maintenance overhead before adding anything.
2. **Focus & Single Responsibility:**
* **Code:** Functions, classes, and modules should do **one thing well**.
* **Tasks:** Focus on completing **one feature or fix** at a time. Avoid mixing unrelated changes in a single commit or PR.
3. **Consistency:**
* **Formatting:** Use Prettier (configured in `package.json` or `.prettierrc`). Format code before committing.
* **Linting:** Use ESLint (configured in `.eslintrc.js`). Address linting errors.
* **Naming Conventions:** Follow standard TypeScript conventions (camelCase for variables/functions, PascalCase for classes/types/interfaces).
* **File Structure:** Maintain a logical and predictable directory structure.
4. **Testing:**
* Write unit tests (`*.test.ts`) for core logic using Vitest.
* Aim for meaningful test coverage, focusing on critical paths and edge cases.
* Integration tests should verify interactions between components.
5. **TypeScript:**
* Use strong typing. Avoid `any` where possible.
* Define clear `interface`s or `type`s for data structures.
6. **Git Workflow:**
* Use feature branches.
* Write clear, concise commit messages (e.g., `feat: add user authentication`, `fix: resolve login bug`).
* Keep Pull Requests (PRs) focused on a single task. Ensure tests pass before merging.
Repository Guidelines
This project uses `tk` for issue tracking. Use ticks for work that spans sessions, has dependencies, or is discovered during other work. Use TodoWrite for simple single-session tasks. **Essential commands:**

Development Guidelines
1. **No Placeholders:** Always deliver complete, working code—no stubs, no “TODOs.” 2. **No Unnecessary Disclaimers:** Users know your capabilities. Provide solutions, not apologies. 3. **Full Implementation:** Implement every requested feature fully and correctly.
