# bun
Bun package manager and JS/TS runtime usage.
- Install: `curl -fsSL https://bun.sh/install | bash` (add to PATH)
- Install deps: `bun install` (uses package.json)
- Add/remove deps: `bun add <pkg>`, `bun remove <pkg>`
- Lockfile: `bun.lockb`
- Scripts: define in package.json, run with `bun run <script>`
- Run code: `bun <file>` (JS/TS/ESM/JSX supported)
- Test: `bun test` (matches `*.test.{js,ts,jsx,tsx}`)
- Prefer `bun install` over npm/yarn in Bun projects
- Bun is fast, mostly npm-compatible, not all Node APIs supported
